While I am a native Austinite, I spent many years moving from place to place before I finally returned home in 2012. I came to social work after receiving an undergraduate degree in Spanish language at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. I spent my Junior year abroad and developed a love of travel and experiencing new cultures, food, art and music. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington to complete a Master’s of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a focus in Direct Practice and Mental Health.
Prior to working in private practice, I worked with Hospice, Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric treatment programs, and a shelter for adolescents. While in private practice, I have focused extensively on training in EMDR, Mindfulness based practices, and trauma / stress related disorders.
